MAMEE NOODLE SNACK ‘Christy Ng’
Fun, fun, fun. This board, from Agency M&C Saatchi, involved playful moments mixed with some serious fashion visuals. Working with Lightflux Productions, we shot everything in Studio 2117, dressed up the existing dressing area for celebrity entrepreneur Christy Ng & propped up another one for Mamee Monster – making it look & feel quirky – & the rest was covered against a white giant limbo background for the ‘photoshoot’ session. The tricky part was to incorporate a Monster stand-in wearing in a blue suit & having to act with Christy. Camera had to be as steady/static as possible, as due to time constraints, WAU animation wouldn’t have had time to animate & track Monster into the shots if there were too many movements. Hence, we covered additional shots of Christy posing on the fly, with our DPs Oscar Tong & Matthew moving in & out of the scenes with the handheld DJI gimbals. This was also the first time that I had shot using the Verstiscope format, with anamorphic lenses to ease our burden in framing for both 9:16 x 16:9. It was a real gamechanger. We used the Kinefinity Mavo 6k camera, together with the Insta360 X4 to capture 360° lighting info for the Monster. Full post by DeTouche, edited by Gerard, color graded by Safuan, Online by Jiun.
