MAMEE NOODLE SNACK ‘Lebih Rangup with Iman Troye’

More fun times with Mamee, & Agency M&C Saatchi, together with Lightflux Productions in crafting this spot. The main challenge was to get the dance right; something playful, catchy & maybe even viral? But simple enough that our KOL Iman Troye can actually learn the choreography & also not run too much from her own […]

PEEL FRESH ‘SourSop’

Of late I’ve been enjoying shooting more & more of just products. Unleashing creativity on how to make food shots more interesting & appetizing. This looks fairly simple, but it requires a lot of compositing effects to make it a cohesive whole. Shooting separate layers to create just the right amount of liquid dripping on the […]

SPRITZER ‘Project Icon’

Boards like these are rare & few, allowing us to experience ‘nature’ in a different manner, to shoot something so calming & natural, even if we had to mock up the mini jungle with rented plants (by Art Dir Jay) to create a ‘natural looking rainforest’. From the minds of Agency FCB & clients Sprtizer […]

Domino’s ‘Double Cheeseburger Pizza : Burger Crust’

Keeping it simple, yet really focusing on what the title suggests. We romanticize the burger crust fully, traveling along the inner, top & outer undulating circular shape, fully embracing the sesame seeds as we move along, & finally ending up on the inside of the crust. Of course, this idea spawned from the usage of […]

JULIE’S HERSHEY’S ‘Perfect Pairings’

Working with One Worldwide & Long’s Creative with new clients Hershey’s was indeed a pleasant one. The board – from conception – went through many iterations due to severe budget constraints – & was trimmed down to just romancing food shots. Needless to say, shooting food has always been challenging, but we were well-prepared & […]

TEXAS CHICKEN TOKYO CHICKEN ‘Drum’

The 1st of 3 concepts from Agency Mullenlowe, & my 1st fully animated series – definitely the most quirky. Working with production Shootworksasia, Ng (freelance 3D supervisor & editor) & Quadimension – JS (animator), we initially wanted to shoot only the Chicken Drumsticks due to the lockdown, in our own home. However, after much discussion, we […]

CONNOR’S x MARSHALL ‘Split-Screen’

The 3rd collaboration with Connor’s, under Motionrom & Agency Grey, & this time they’re partnering with audio powerhouse Marshall. So, based on the idea of utilizing split-screens to tell the stories of both worlds that move along simultaneously & culminating in one final destination, our challenge was to make it visually interesting & compelling – […]

MAMEE NOODLE SNACK ‘Christy Ng’

Fun, fun, fun. This board, from Agency M&C Saatchi, involved playful moments mixed with some serious fashion visuals. Working with Lightflux Productions, we shot everything in Studio 2117, dressed up the existing dressing area for celebrity entrepreneur Christy Ng & propped up another one for Mamee Monster – making it look & feel quirky – […]

NANDO’S ‘THIS IS PERi-PERi’

It’s been a long time dream of mine to shoot something like this. Something edgy, energetic, punctuated with fast cuts & relevant music/sound design. A concept that elevates the taste buds visually, & shows that even with only 2-days of shoot coupled with perseverance, creativity & teamwork, we can get around to making things look magical […]

PREGO ‘A World of Pastabilities’

Food, food & more food. Just what I like. Spending a full day shooting interesting angles to showcase different pasta variants. From top shots, to dolly shots to low angles. Almost anything you can think of. From a basic idea from Agency Reprise, & working with Shootworksasia, we produced this appetizing Pasta ad for clients […]
