MISTER POTATO ‘Yellow Card=Switch Sides’
The 3rd & final board from Clients & Lightflux Productions, we shot this on the 2nd day at night, as we needed a night mamak setting. Unfortunately, it rained right when we were about to shoot, & we wasted 2 hours. At one point, we toyed with the idea of perhaps moving the entire scene indoors. But we all felt that it wasn’t quite right, hence we decided to wait out the rain. When we got down to shooting, we just moved with speed & ease, shooting non-stop. The storyline here was important, as we had to clearly show that our guy had switched sides, & so there was this natural sarcastic banter/gestures between them. The highlight was how we introduced the Mister Potato mascot, & how we had him exit. That was a bit more challenging, as we didn’t want him to fall, so it was a locked camera effect, with another chair on the other end, where our mascot had to literally go through a large TV frame that was eventually resized to look like a more normal sized tv.
