LAY’S ‘Extra Savory’
One of 3 boards, under Prodigious (production producer Pei Wen) & Agency Publicis, we set out to create some delicious BBQ meat skewer shots with all 3 being different enough coupled with dynamic product transformations. With the help of AI to recreate some of the backgrounds, we shot our talent against green screen. A lot of layers were required to allow for compositing but the entire opening scene is all real, with a real wooden panel flooring & carpet grass, with actual flame embers flying up towards camera. The spinning skewer shot/rotisserie was challenging because we need to match the meets to the 2nd layer of chips & they were also rotating. Hence we locked the camera & had a rotation rig that replicated the movement as closely as possible. However, clients wanted the meats to look a little bit juicier, & so we had no other choice but to turn to AI the meats so they looked more appetizing.
