JETOUR VT9 ‘EXPANDING POSSIBILITIES’
From Agency TBWA & production house Lightflux, we produced a heartwarming & fun spot for clients Cherry/Jetour with clever transitions. Our main concern before the shoot, was weather. We needed a sunrise & a sunset, and initially we only had 1.5 days to shoot. However, we quickly realized that we really needed a full 2 days & we maximized those days. Thankfully, we made the call to shoot parts of the board in the Ole VP studio (Unreal Engine) but to assist in creating more realistic & a faster turnaround for the projected backgrounds, we shot some background plates during our tech recce. I have to say, this was my real first experience, fully utilizing a studio with realistic background projections to accomplish camera angles that would otherwise be almost impossible to do in the outdoors – especially given the short timings that we had. We had the utmost control of lighting & ease of camera maneuverability. And, on our actual outdoor shoot days, we had the perfect weather. On the 1st day, we shot in KL City for the Motorcrane shots & ended the day in the studio. For the 2nd day shoot, we traveled to Semenyih. To also aid in less travel time for the entire crew, we planned our shoot with just the DJI Inspire 3 (Xiao Yang) for the outskirts scenes there, for the sunrise & tracking scenes, & then moved over to Port Diskson for the beautiful beach scenes & the sunset. Shot with DP Oscar Tong once more, using his Mavo Kinefinity 6k & very hand & versatile DJI Ronin 4d & anamorphic lenses. Edited by Daz, Color graded by Safuan, & Onlined by De Touche.
