DOMINO’S ‘World Cheese Pizza’
8 different cheeses, as the name implies. So, nothing else on the pizza but cheese. Not as easy as it sounds. From the brains of Agency FCB & Clients Domino’s, KDCo & myself were tasked with making this film look appetizing & visually exciting. We used the Laowa Probe2 lens to get some dynamic close ups food shots with as much camera movements as possible – short of using a Robotic Arm. But having done quite a few pizza jobs in the past, we continue to up the ante; & we did by adding in 2 simultaneous cheese pull shots in 1 frame! Even clients were a bit hesitant on the complexity of the shot at first, but they are also very open to new ideas. Who knew, in the end, that shot proved to be more straightforward than we expected. Thanks in part to the rigging of art department Jared & Kelvin. The rest of the food porn shots just fell into place. The main challenge was actually getting the look of the pizza with 2 different crusts right, so that needed a lot of fine tuning, but we had our food stylist Bob, who also worked on the key visuals.
