Domino’s ‘ShaWAHma Pizza’
This campaign was somewhat different from what we (KDCo) usually do for Domino’s. With the concept from Agency FCB – we opted for slightly lesser Pizza shots, & focused a bit more on the main ingredient – the Shawarma meat. The brief was to make the beef so appetizing & tantalizing, with the juiciness evident from the slicing of the whole chunk of shawarma. So, we set out to amplify the mouth-watering draw of the meat using a real shawarma griller. We had our local talent as the griller who expertly slices the meat – with an actual shawarma griller to coach him on the ways of slicing – & added even more slices of meat falling during the post-production phase. Creating the shawarma sauce splash was fun – a simple maneuvering of the ladle (by our hands-on DP Chin) allowed us several fine takes with beautiful dancing liquid sauce shots. Shot with DP Chin, using the Freefly Ember 5k camera for hi-speed footage on Day 1, & the Red V Raptor for the normal speed shots for Day 2. Edited by Fai, & full Grade + Online by Meccanica EFX.
